Internet Marketing and Better Backlinks - Different? Better?

What exactly is changing with Google Ads?

Why did Google change the way ads are shown?

I just thought I’d share a few observations about the changes Google recently made on how they are showing ads on their search results pages.

First off, it’s not uncommon for Google to make sudden changes. A few weeks ago Google search results on desktop no longer show text ads on the right side of search results.

While that alone may not be so bad, what is bugging a lot of people is that Google now shows as many as 4 text ads above the standard organic search results. They also may show ads at the bottom of the page.

It will absolutely affect advertisers who are bidding on keywords and live and die by the traffic they buy – but will it affect those of us who get the majority of our traffic from free organic search?

My gut feeling is it might not be a big deal or even better for getting organic free traffic.

It’s hard to say because there is a degree of “ad blindness” among many searchers who automatically skip past the ads (count me as one of those).

A lot of people though will click the first thing they see that gives them what they want – so now there are more chances they will click an ad instead of an organic search result.

Google will still be showing their “knowledge panels” on the right on some search queries, but in general the total number of ads they show will be dropping from 11 to a max possible of 7.

Should this change in the way they display ads be of great concern?

Too early to tell, but in general for most of us search engine traffic marketers I would say no – not so much. We get the majority of our free traffic from search queries that are longer and less competitive, so there is a good chance many of the pages we rank high on will not be changed much if at all.

Still there could be some noticeable changes on bigger traffic keywords where there is heavy competition for both ads and top rankings.

Hope that helps clear up things a little!

Exact Match Data or Broad? Which is better?

Look at the keyword research data on this screen capture from the Google Adwords keyword tool and then tell me the answer to this question:

“Which is better to use for analyzing potential traffic when creating your primary target keyword – “exact match” or broad match???

see FULL size version

Open keyword research data FULL SIZE in a new window

Do you see how the broad match search volume for medicine sports is so high – yet the “exact match” is so low???

If you asked me – this keyword – medicine sports – would be a BAD primary target keyword.

If you get a top ranking for medicine sports you are NOT going to get the broad match traffic.

The exact match traffic is what that backwards keyword really gets!

I personally feel that I would rather look at the EXACT data representing the exact search as it is typed in by the searcher.

That’s how Google looks at it.

Broad match does not reflect the volume that a keywords will get with a top ranking  – only EXACT MATCH accurate indicates potential volume for a top ranking.

The “exact match” data more accurately reflects what the target is capable of in volume becase it does not include all the other possibilities that borat, er, I mean broad match includes.

If you only look at broad match data it is deceiving. Even if you get #1 for medicine sports it will NOT bring you very much traffic. In fact that 170 volume is pretty low.

You don’t get rich by getting number one for low volume keywords.
Take the above example and compare the Global Search Volume for

medicine sports

which has a broad match volume of 368,000 which seems very high.

If you change the Google Adwords setting to “exact match” however the gloabl monthly search volume drops to 170 – yikes!

And for me – 170 just isn’t enough to justify making it my primary target keyword.

The reason it dropped to 170 from 368,000 is that the PHRASE is backwards. (continued – read more of this article…)

Adsense Money or Affiliate Commissions?

Should you promote Adsense ads or affiliate products?
Or should you add an affiliate offer in addition to placing Adsense ads on your site?

I just posted an article on the Blogging Underground forum that has some great info on monetization and how to get really big paydays by promoting a product or offer on your web sites.

>>> Adsense Ads or Affiliate Products

It all started with a BU member asking about all the gurus out there complaining about losing their Adsense accounts.

I answered his question about whether he should be “really careful” and it led to some great ideas about how you can make a lot of money by also promoting affiliate products that match the content of your web pages.

It requires a little extra effort – but the big paydays are usually worth it!

Adsense is great for a lazy quick buck here and there – it really can’t be beat for ease of use – but the big money often comes when you create a keyword targeted web page that gets a top ranking for an exact match keyword and then gets a ton of traffic – and – WHEN you have a perfectly matched affiliate product that is prominently featured on the page – well – that’s a GRAND SLAM HOME RUN! Hot Underground Tip – Adwords URL Placement Targeting

Adwords Placement Targeting Just Got Easier!

I have a really cool find that I think you’ll be glad I shared with you!

It’s an awesome new tool I just bought myself called Placement Intelligence and there is a detailed video that shows exactly how it works.

>>> Watch the 13 Minute Video Here

I’m so excited about Placement Intelligence and what it does that I just had to share it with you guys because this product and the marketing technique is really flying under the radar! This tool is just so cool and such a well kept secret that you must check it out yourself before the masses get ahold of it!

Are you familiar with Google Adwords Placement Targeting??? Have you ever tried using it to get cheap yet highly targeted traffic???

Chances are NOT because most people get roped into running PPC ads on Google Search which is ULTRA competitive and much harder to master. It’s pretty complicated.

Adwords Placement Targeting is relatively new and is kind of an underground secret technique… not exactly as popular and well known as running simple PPC ads on Google Search or even advertising on the Content Network.

Placement Targeting allows you to run Adwords ads on SPECIFIC URL’s of sites that are showing Adsense ads. This in itself is huge because it allows the kind of targeting that marketers like us dream about. (continued – read more of this article…)

Arbitrage Conspiracy Features – what the 12 weeks of training offers

Do you judge a product by it’s features?

Or do you base your feelings about a product on other factors like inflated hype, overblown highly saturated promotion or guru endorsements? I suggest you LOOK at the features of Arbitrage Conspiracy – I think a lot of folks are getting rubbed the wrong way by the huge promotion for it and the fact that almost all of the big time gurus seem to be endorsing it (or dissing it), even though they haven’t seen the actual 12 week training product yet.

I suggest you look past the hype and venting of feelings and drill down to what you get when you buy the product. I’ve listed the features below – maybe you haven’t really looked at them… go ahead – it’s ok to look! :’>

Arbitrage Conspiracy – OK, I bought it and am THRILLED I DID!

Should you buy it???

If you read the FEATURES and find it appealing then YES – you should buy it!

But don’t buy it because I said I did, or because someone familiar endorsed it or because of the massive hype… that’s just noise! To make an informed decison you must look at what the product is offering (see features below) and base your decison on whether you think it is a good investment for YOU!

YOU need to decide for yourself! No one else can do that for you!

ME – count me in! I like what I saw (the product features, not the hype). See the features below >>>

But if you ask me, I’d say based on what I saw the 12 weeks of training from Arbitrage Conspiracy looks great for ME!!! >>> Scroll down for the LONG LIST of features – the 12 weeks of training are described in detail below >>>   (continued – read more of this article…)

Cheap Traffic is the key to the Arbitrage Conspiracy

What is the Arbitrage Conspiracy??? Is it hype??? Is it filled with lies???

Arbitrage Conspiracy is a product launching today (Dec. 10, 2008) that has really got me and a lot of other people excited.

Yes, I know some people are going NEGATIVE BIG TIME and ragging about the $50,000 to $100,000 per day that Aymen, the Arbitrage Conspiracy guy, claims he is making.

Do I believe he is making that kind of money? Yes, I do.

Why do I believe this? Not because Aymen or Brad Fallon or Mike Filsaime says so, but BECAUSE I am close to a person from whom Aymen learned a lot of what he most likely will be teaching about. I am currently in a training course that teaches this same exact stuff. And it really is a secret kind of system. Secret in the sense that very few people are doing it.

Doing what? Read on!!! I’ll tell you! (continued – read more of this article…)

Dump Google and Go for Yahoo!

I have some news about an exciting new product you should be aware of.

It’s just what I have been looking for, and I think you’ll get into it too! It’s very fresh and different and can help us get away from Google – at least a little!

It’s worth looking at because these guys discovered a Yahoo PPC formula and raked in $463,590.22 in ONLY 58 Days!!!

I don’t know about you, but that kind of proof is hard to ignore!

It’s time to get back to work because from here on till next Spring the traffic and profits are on the rise!

So, you may be wondering about the subject and opening of this message.

53,490 Keywords – More Hooks Than a Tackle Box!

Man, I am so excited because I have some incredible keyword research that I will share with you that can truly save you a ton of time from having to do it yourself. This list has keywords with huge opportunities that can potentially bring you hordes of traffic!

A keyword list can really do that???

Well, it depends on how you use the data, but YES, the right keywords can bring you a ton of money and this list is jam cram loaded with monsters!

The full keyword list is a huge Excel file which is 5.7 MB in size and has all the data you need to do some serious analysis. I also prepared a short little video to give you an overview of what you can do with the keywords.

You’ll find the keyword video at this URL along with links to download the keyword spreadsheet files.

>>> Click Here for the Video and Free Keyword Spreadsheet Files

The keywords and data are fresh, but as we all know, data changes everyday, so the list is not intended to be up to date and complete and entirely accurate. It is based on compiling research missions with keywords over the past two months. The data was cleaned of garbage and the duplicates were removed so the remaining 53,490 keywords are the cream of the crop. All are expensive keywords that have average cost per click of .15 cents and higher with anything lower  removed. I also removed keywords that have less than 200 searches. That means this list only contains the best keywords with high bid clicks and decent search volume! >> there is still more ahead >> (continued – read more of this article…)
