Hi Mike – I’m quite impressed with your points here. Sometimes webmasters are obsessed with ranking their websites high in Google but still not getting enough traffic. You’re right that it should be the combination of Top Rankings and Traffic. I guess it’s time to analyze where we get most of traffic to our website and try to optimize it.

If you want your site to have a good reputation with Google and get lots of top rankings – then you need to stay away from cookie cutter site building. You know what I mean – when you have the same exact web site as other cookie cutters. That’s far worse than simple duplicate content.

Great explanation Mike. Yes I totally agree on keywords. Sometimes people are too busy with their rankings that they forgot to check they are getting enough traffic or not. I guess the moral lesson here is to have a close eye on what keywords brings traffic to us and use it to our advantage to bring more earnings for us.

There is good traffic and bad traffic. I would far rather have a smaller number of targeted visitors all searching with a buying intent than tons of people browsing my site. At the end of the day its the profits that count.
