Happy New Year! Let’s Make a 1 Day Resolution!

Can you make a 1 day resolution?

I would like to wish you a happy new year and wish you the best for the coming year!

I’m really excited about all the great things I’ve got goin’ on, and hope you are too! 2015 is going to be a great year!

While I’m here I would like to share one little tidbit to help inspire you to help you achieve your goals in the coming year.

I was just reading a post on Dr. Wayne Dyer’s blog and thought it’d be nice to share the wisdom with you.

I’ll keep it brief but include a link in case you want to see the whole blog post.

Wayne was basically suggesting that people have it wrong with New Year’s resolutions by trying to pledge, er, plan what they’ll be doing months ahead in September when he believes it’s much more powerful to commit to do something over a period of say 1 day.

For example – rather than make a resolution to stop doing something forever or make a drastic change that may end up being so hard you’ll never do it at all – Wayne suggests you make a 1 day committment such as NOT EATING SUGAR FOR ONE DAY.

Personally I think that is so smart!

Anyone can do something for one day! Right?

Welll…. I’ll let Wayne do the talking – here is a brief excerpt from his blog post and I’ll drop the link to the whole thing right after it. Have a great ew year!

“Anyone can do virtually anything if it is for only one day. When you go for one whole day without eating sugar (or any other new behavior), you are a totally different person at the end of that day. Learn to let that totally different person decide on the second day whether he or she wants to do it again on this new day, rather than letting the same old person decide that it is only going to be difficult in a couple of days anyhow, “so what’s the use.” Always let the new you make the decision, and then you’ll be living your present moments.”
