Internet Marketing and Better Backlinks - Different? Better? Find out why.
News and information for online web publishing professionals!
I just ran into an insightful article on Search Engine Land called Why Manual Link Building Will Never Be Obsolete that I would like to share with you.
It makes a good point about differentiating between manually posting and getting good links and “bulk link building” which has always been risky and has become more and more dangerous.
It’s much smarter to build links manually that you have control over rather than just dump a bunch of garbage that Google will most likely recognize as “spammy behavior” and discount heavily if not outright penalize the sites that are connected to the mass linking.
That’s why the contextual links Blogging Underground members create in relevant blogs are so powerful. They are not bulk oriented, but rather thoughtful links that reside within content that is relevant.
A handful of good quality contextual links will get you a lot further along than a blast of poor quality links.
Links will always count – especially from relevant and trusted sources – it’s more of a matter of our focusing on adding value rather than bulk dumping a bunch of auto generated garbage out there. That certainly is not effective any more.
