That is the secret SEO system for success as a web publisher and it is my mantra!

It should be your mantra too, because people who build pages and get links regularly are quite often very successful web publishers!

The internet marketing search engine optimization business is really so simple, but so many people insist on making it more complex than it needs to be. I believe anyone can make good money with an online business by simply focusing on building web sites and adding new pages regularly that have lots of great words on them!

It’s simple - you build web sites with real valuable content web pages that have great words on them! Build pages with lots of thematically related keywords - words that are naturally associated with the topics on the pages. When you build web pages like that then you simply make sure you have good text links from other web sites that are pointing at your web pages!

You need text links that have good words in them pointing at the pages on your site!

Build pages and get links. That’s the process. That is the system. It’s that easy!

So if it’s really that easy - why isn’t everyone doing this????

Ahhh… yes - it seems so simple but I know from experience that most people make things far more complicated than is necessary! They dwell on things that have no relation to making money. They get distracted by things and try to learn all about everything, even spending time on things that have no direct impact on success.

People spend too much time analyzing and planning and NOT enough time DOING!

For example, I just got a question from a new Article Underground member who was concerned some of the keywords in the 400 monthly members PLR articles were “too competitive” and would be hard to rank in the top ten for. He was analyzing this and that and found data that was different from the keyword research that was presented in the Article Underground spreadsheets. He was worried the KEI was too low.

It seemed this new member spent a lot of time doing unnecessary keyword research with the goal of finding out if the PLR articles from Article Underground would be too tough to get top rankings with. It was almost like he was looking for a reason for it NOT to work. He spent time researching the research which would prevent him from finding out by experience.

This is actually rather common for people - they shoot themselves in the foot almost by design - so they do not have an opportunity to fail - or succeed!

This kind of splitting of hairs is not uncommon for absolute beginners. It seems so many newbies are more concerned with doing everything exactly right, rather than just doing and learning from experience what works and what doesn’t.

In this case the new member was stuck in “over analysis paralysis” and he was treading water and analyzing when he could have been doing. He was trying to find out before he did any work if the articles were really about “low competition keywords”.

This is clearly a case of “over analysis paralysis” where the guy is spending time on everything else than building web sites! It’s like he is looking for an excuse NOT to do the “real work” so he can hang up his hat and give up before really trying!

My advice is to be careful about over analyzing in general. Also, Article Underground already does extensive research on the keyword phrases the articles are written about so that you don’t have to spend time on research!

The keyword research provided is some of the best you can get, but still it’s not perfect! Keyword research and analysis in general is not a perfect science. Search volume and competing pages and KEI are data collected at a time and over time things change. KEI is simply a formula and is not exact science! Article Underground keyword research data is simply a rough guide to get you started and off to the races. It’s not the final word!

My general advice is to be careful to not spend too much time analyzing things as opposed to DOING things. Sure, it can be fun to poke around in some keyword programs and see what results it shows, but it is a distraction. We already have too many of those!

So what do we do???

Build pages - get links!

If you focused on doing just those 2 things regularly, you’d have your bases covered and would make good money - even if you made a ton of mistakes. It’s a numbers game! Some of your web pages will have the magic combinations of words and right proportion of text links.

Some will not. So what!

The thing is that you only need a few grand slam home run web pages with top rankings to make a lot of money! Not every web page you make needs to be a big winner! So throw a lot out there and don’t waste too much time Over analyzing or planning what to do! Spend time DOING!

Doers succeed.

Building real content web sites and adding fresh new pages regularly is really the best way to go. Also keep fresh new backlinks coming in to your pages as well as the new content because links from new and different places with different combos of words will help move you towards the top of the search engine rankings!

Also, fresh links are important - you especially need new fresh links when rankings slip - sometimes a few new links will push you back up on top!

Well, I hope that kicked you in the butt and put things in the proper perspective! It’s better to do things halfway good than to do nothing perfectly!

This is great info. I think what your talking about is called analysis paralysis. People spend so much time trying to tweek everything that they never complete one project. I suffered from this for 2 years. I am now finally seeing the like. Great article!
