Internet Marketing and Better Backlinks - Different? Better? Find out why.

News and information for online web publishing professionals!

Get Lots of Web Traffic by Building Web Pages With PLR Articles With Great Words and Getting Links

You can get lots of traffic by building web pages that have great words when you get quality links pointing at them!

Do you want to be a successful web publisher and build web sites that make money?

The secret to success as a web publisher may be simpler than you realize.

Are you looking for a time tested system that will help you learn and understand the secret to building profitable web sites? Are you tired of getting distracted by all the time consuming tasks that seem to be nothing more than a waste of your precious time???

Build pages and get links.

That is the secret SEO system for success as a web publisher and it is my mantra!

It should be your mantra too, because people who build pages and get links regularly are quite often very successful web publishers!

The internet marketing search engine optimization business is really so simple, but so many people insist on making it more complex than it needs to be. I believe anyone can make good money with an online business by simply focusing on building web sites and adding new pages regularly that have lots of great words on them!

It’s simple – you build web sites with real valuable content web pages that have great words on them! Build pages with lots of thematically related keywords – words that are naturally associated with the topics on the pages. When you build web pages like that then you simply make sure you have good text links from other web sites that are pointing at your web pages!

You need text links that have good words in them pointing at the pages on your site!

Build pages and get links. That’s the process. That is the system. It’s that easy!

So if it’s really that easy – why isn’t everyone doing this????

Ahhh… yes – it seems so simple but I know from experience that most people make things far more complicated than is necessary! They dwell on things that have no relation to making money. They get distracted by things and try to learn all about everything, even spending time on things that have no direct impact on success.

People spend too much time analyzing and planning and NOT enough time DOING!

Theres more good stuff >>>

For example, I just got a question from a new Article Underground member who was concerned some of the keywords in the 400 monthly members PLR articles were “too competitive” and would be hard to rank in the top ten for. He was analyzing this and that and found data that was different from the keyword research that was presented in the Article Underground spreadsheets. He was worried the KEI was too low.

It seemed this new member spent a lot of time doing unnecessary keyword research with the goal of finding out if the PLR articles from Article Underground would be too tough to get top rankings with. It was almost like he was looking for a reason for it NOT to work. He spent time researching the research which would prevent him from finding out by experience.

This is actually rather common for people – they shoot themselves in the foot almost by design – so they do not have an opportunity to fail – or succeed!

This kind of splitting of hairs is not uncommon for absolute beginners. It seems so many newbies are more concerned with doing everything exactly right, rather than just doing and learning from experience what works and what doesn’t.

In this case the new member was stuck in “over analysis paralysis” and he was treading water and analyzing when he could have been doing. He was trying to find out before he did any work if the articles were really about “low competition keywords”.

This is clearly a case of “over analysis paralysis” where the guy is spending time on everything else than building web sites! It’s like he is looking for an excuse NOT to do the “real work” so he can hang up his hat and give up before really trying!

My advice is to be careful about over analyzing in general. Also, Article Underground already does extensive research on the keyword phrases the articles are written about so that you don’t have to spend time on research!

The keyword research provided is some of the best you can get, but still it’s not perfect! Keyword research and analysis in general is not a perfect science. Search volume and competing pages and KEI are data collected at a time and over time things change. KEI is simply a formula and is not exact science! Article Underground keyword research data is simply a rough guide to get you started and off to the races. It’s not the final word!

My general advice is to be careful to not spend too much time analyzing things as opposed to DOING things. Sure, it can be fun to poke around in some keyword programs and see what results it shows, but it is a distraction. We already have too many of those!

So what do we do???

Build pages – get links!

If you focused on doing just those 2 things regularly, you’d have your bases covered and would make good money – even if you made a ton of mistakes. It’s a numbers game! Some of your web pages will have the magic combinations of words and right proportion of text links.

Some will not. So what!

The thing is that you only need a few grand slam home run web pages with top rankings to make a lot of money! Not every web page you make needs to be a big winner! So throw a lot out there and don’t waste too much time Over analyzing or planning what to do! Spend time DOING!

Doers succeed.

Building real content web sites and adding fresh new pages regularly is really the best way to go. Also keep fresh new backlinks coming in to your pages as well as the new content because links from new and different places with different combos of words will help move you towards the top of the search engine rankings!

Also, fresh links are important – you especially need new fresh links when rankings slip – sometimes a few new links will push you back up on top!

Well, I hope that kicked you in the butt and put things in the proper perspective! It’s better to do things halfway good than to do nothing perfectly!

I have lots of great training videos that you can view for free! My SEO training video called 20 Top Linking Secrets has the kind of tips that can make your backlinks really work extra hard to bring you top rankings on Google!

Another of my free training videos is called Real Content is King and shows you how to build content rich web sites using PLR Articles.

The videos are free and are loaded with info that will help you succeed as a web publisher!

  5. I’ve been reading everything I can about optimizing Web pages for both usability and ad traffic, and just recently came across the term “heat map”, referring to some method of tracking what area on a page people look at, I guess? Can some one tell me what it’s all about and perhaps give me a clue about where I can find more information about how to apply heat map data to my own site design?

  6. Web traffic analysis involves looking at where your current web traffic is coming from. This is important from the outset, as you need some idea of what is currently working and what needs improvement.

  9. You are right that it’s easy to get sidetracked. We get bombarded with emails about product launches for all kinds of systems for making money in internet marketing. YOu can spend all day watching the videos and reading the free reports and reading email.

You just have to put that all aside and concentrate on building your website and writing articles that link to your site.

  10. A great paralysis by analysis post. Its true but I believe its the fear of failure that forces one into being too analytical. One tends to believe that if they get something wrong, they wouldnt make the promised millions and they feel they dont want to blame themselves when that happens.

Another thing is getting a lot of info coming in from all over the place telling you about the newest trick today. THey you feel you must incorporate that too before launching but these come out every week so the tweaking spiral continues and you never launch.

After weeks, you get bored and jump on the newest money promising offer and the cycle begins again. The IM marketers keep making money from you jumping from one offer to the next and you keep getting excited about and buying into one launch after another and everyone seems happy. BUT finacially & time wise, you’re out of pocket as you havent made any return on your investment :(

Well, this is a very nicely put article and rings true for me when I was starting out but I catch myself doing it even now when I get too attached to a topic I am building a site for :)

It’s not very productive money and time wise

  11. All of us at some point get bogged down by the hype that is on the Internet today with promises of riches that are mostly scams. We all need to realize that there is only one true way to make a consistant income online and that is to follow what Mike is relaying to us in this article.

We need to build our endeavor from the ground up with a strong foundation. The only way to do that is to build pages with quality content that will gain the respect of the search engines and get quality links to those pages to gather further respect from our visitors and the search engines. We also must concentrate on development of our sites. Without sustained blogging, article submittal and link building, the popularity of our sites will suffer. We must be persistant if we plan on being on top. If you are in need of a free website, come on over and visit me at

  12. Thanks Mike for your healthy article ’Get Lots of Web Traffic by Building Web Pages With PLR Articles With Great Words and Getting Links’. I agree very much with your point about building more and more web pages as the main strategy and then add back links all the time from good sites.

May I add to the simplicity you are promoting that when a site starts to get proper traffic people should use the traffic stats to identify the keywords they are doing best with and then go further optimizing the relevant web pages for these keywords, so they rank even better for these. For example for travel sites the words people are seeking for travel destinations might be quite simple but you need to know exactly which combination of additional words people are using for the destination. The search for South Padre Island might be very different from people searching for Seychelles, and that might again be much different for searches of the Isle of Man.

another good article, and again you are absolutely right. I suffered the very same analysis paralysis, for some time until I followed the advise and just took action. Now I eagerly look forward to each day, writing content and building backlinks. To my many sites. It is vital that people don’t think to much about things, but to just give it all a go, it’s the best way to learn and achieve.

  19. Thank you for the information and yes I DO OVER ANALYSE. I finally made myself a daily to do list and it makes it much easier to DO SOMETHING. This includes one post to my blog, upload one ebook for sale to TRADEBIT and make ONE ARTICLE video and get it up on at least 5 video sites daily. The rest of the day is spent on working on my sites for REAL products I have just started selling. Trying to get away from IM Marketing and getting into niche markets.

  29. A common mistake amongst online entrepreneurs is that a lot of them tend to over-complicate the process of SEO. Most successful online businesses have mastered the art of delegation and outsourcing. The tasks are pretty simple and straight-forward. There may be hundred of things one can do for SEO but still, everything’s pretty straight-forward. A simple strategy to attend to all these tasks is delegation or outsourcing of work. This proved to be more productive and economical in the long run.
