According to Zig Ziglar “You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want”

According to Mike Liebner – “it’s true!”

I just ran into that quote today and it struck a chord with me.

I can honestly say that a great part of my success, especially my more recent success, is a direct result of helping people get what they want. It’s part of what I do. I enjoy helping other people.

Now, I’ll go easy on the self-serving, make my self feel good talk, but let me just say that I have been very fortunate in my life and that I am very satisfied with the path I have taken to get me where I am now.

While I do sell a product (with more coming!) I do attribute a great deal of my personal success to the fact that I offer training and assistance and make a lot of it freely available without asking for a penny. I’m happy to help others.

My business revolves around helping other people achieve success as web publishers and internet marketers.

I make available training videos and helpful articles and regularly send out newsletter messages to my mailing list and Words Equal Money subscribers with tips and suggestions on how to do some of these internet marketing type things that can bring us what we want.

It pays off because hardly a day goes by that I do not get email and messages from people thanking me and telling me they dig what I do or they are happy with what they have bought.

And that brings me back to the wise words of Zig Ziglar and his quote: You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.

Those wise words cane from his 1984 book “Secrets of Closing the Sale” and shows how wisdom can be timeless.

Advice time: We all want the things in life we want. Many of us are striving for success as internet marketers. If we can all take notice of Zig Ziglars wise words and embrace that philosophy it can help all of us achieve our goals and get to where we want to be.

The simple act of helping other people does so many things to get us moving in teh right direction ourselves.

It makes us feel good. It makes them feel good. It makes anyone watching us or them feel good. And it sets some kind of universal karma like thing into action where good things start happening more.

I won’t get too out there but let me just say that Zig was onto something. It makes a lot of sense and we can all benefit from absorbing the words and putting them into our own context.

I think now a days without giving a full service you won’t be half as successful. It used to be seen as going the extra mile but I believe you ignore it now at your peril.

This is the one constant piece of advice I get from successful people in all businesses, online and offline.

People don’t care about how going to your website or blog helps you. All they care about is how it helps them.

So, give them what they want, or they will go elsewhere to get it.

Most people understand this concept. However, many people do not implement it. You will get nowhere unless you actually implement this advice into your own business.

Good post Mike. So true.. people get in a run and get down when they are consumed with every little worry about their own lives. It all seems to melt away when you help others. We’re all guilty including myself.

I perfectly agreed with you. I am learning to share my little experience with people on something I am really passionate about which is internet marketing. It is a great feeling too to share something you have stumbled upon in the internet which I personally think will help people in their internet businesses and increase their personal effectiveness as an internet marketer. Being an internet marketer myself, I will also put my affiliate link on the products that I am recommending or sharing my personal view. It is like some sort of moral hazard that I am facing at times. Any comment on this moral hazard issue? Also, is it wrong to expect others to share too in return for example blog commenting etc?
