LASIK Eye Surgery – minutes after
It’s Sunday afternoon… Well, I did that LASIK eye surgery thing the other day – 2 days ago on Friday.
It went well and I’m thrilled to be able to see better than 20/20 without my glasses or contact lenses. In fact the next morning I actually drove to my follow up “day after exam” all by myself without glasses! Now that’s cool!
In fact, the night of the surgery (Friday) I was so amazed that I could watch tv without glasses and it was so crisp and sharp!
If you’ve been on the fence and have been considering LASIK eye correction surgery, I say do it! I’ve been very happy with the whole experience and while I am still adjusting it is so cool to not have to wear contacts or glasses!
Here is a picture of me minutes after having them slice up my eyes and shave off the layers on my corneas!

They stood me up and said “you’re all done”. Then walked me out of the operating room. I asked the nurse to sanp a pic with my digital camera. Be kind to me – I was on valium and could still smell the burning from the laser on my corneas!
When they told me I could just pretty much anything that day I was suprised. A friend drove me home and I walked my dog. Had lunch. Then I slept for 5 hours thanks to the valium.
I walked my dog (I had to wear those goggles) and was amazed at the clarity. I actually expected a little longer of an adjustment period but my sight was great out of the gate. Only thing I need to get used to is one eye is adjusted forshort and medium distance, the right eye is set up for medium to long distance.
Both eyes are great for medium distance (watching tv) but only 1 eye for short range and 1 eye for long range. Maybe that will change but for now it takes some geting used to.
Well, that’s all for now. If you’ve been considering LASIK I can’t recommend it enough. Find a doctor that has had someone you know as a patient who was satisfied and go see them.

Hey Mike -
That’s great news! I hear more and more about it on the radio but have been too afraid even to consider it. Yet seeing is believing and knowing someone whom has personally gone through the effort offers validation.
Best to you,

Which brings me to my real point. There was a statement made in this forum that, “I don’t think there is any way that your eyesight with lasik can be as good as with well-fitted spectacles.” This statement is inaccurate. It may be true of some people, but obviously it is not true of all (it wasn’t for me). I heard other negative statements that proved false as well. In fact, an employee at my Lasik eye center told me that EVERYONE gets dry eye from Lasik. Well, maybe a lot do, but not everyone does – because I didn’t. If anything, my eyes are less dry now than before Lasik.Good article. Thanks

Hi Mike, Congrats for your successful laser eye surgery. Please do not sit in front of TV or computer or laptop for long. Eat lots of red carrot. It helps in improving your eye sight. By the way i am your new student and member for AU. I joined 3 days back.
I have already set up a new site but since it is on a brand new domain i will wait for few weeks before i get back links from AU blogs. If you find time please do look at my site http://getridofacneovernight.org
Thanks & Best regards,

Congratulations for having got a perfect vision. There are still people out there who want this kind of results but are afraid to undergo surgery because they think it is invasive and my give bad results. But comprehensive information is available in the link http://www.worldclasslasik.com/lasik-safety, which anyone can check out to fill in info about the procedures and the results. Best of luck
