News and information for online web publishing professionals!

eBay Affiliate Program Has an All New Partner Network

Breaking news as eBay has just taken over it’s affiliate program on April 1st from Commission Junction and has brought it in house.

This is good news for anyone who has been less than happy with cj.com’s poor statistics and archaic ways of setting up links. Hopefully eBay will make it easier to track stats and make sales! This affilaite program has already been a money maker, even with the poor tools from CJ!

If you have been signed up as an eBay affiliate with CJ, simply go to the eBay Partner Network and register - the transition will be fast and smoothe if my experience is an indicator!

Click here to register for eBay

There is also an ebay partner network migration guide at ebay’s blog.

I registered on Thursday April 3 and it went through painlessly. I simply checked my email and verified my data and was instantly set up with an account for several countries and had access to the tools.

The eBay affiliate section has tutorials and a lot of helful info for affiliates. This affilaite program is something we should watch and study as Adsense is getting harder and harder to make good money with. eBay has a universal appeal and it should be easy to get people to click on a brand with such great positive vibes! Everybody loves eBay, right???

I’m really rooting for eBay and hope it will be the profit stream of the future. They pay off the sign up fees evry generously and also part of the fees from transactions. If you help sell a house or car - that could mean huge fees!

OK, I better get to work and start translating those old ebay ad codes to the new one! I wanna get credit for each transaction!

Haven’t been to eBay lately???

By the way - a hot tip for anyone who writes or publishes articles is to visit eBay to see what products are hot! Simply search for your article’s words on ebay and then after studying the auctions ADD IN a few direct links to the products you find that are related! It’ll add extra words to your pages and might even get you some affiliate money! What a great way to add more words to be ranked for!

  1. Wow, you’re right. Registering is fast and easy.

It took longer - slightly, mind you - to register to your blog to post this comment :-)

Thanks for the tip! - Stephen
